SimCity is back with no numbers or subtitles and with a brand new engine in the form of GlassBox. This represents the data at the heart of the celebrated citysim as a number of agents rather than as more static animations. This should result in world that feels more alive, for example with a traffic jam represented as a mass of individual cars rather than as a single clump of traffic.
As a game that requires both a constant internet connection and an Origin account, however, it’s going to be tough for SimCity to win over longstanding fans.
